The delegates from Japan's Ministry of Health with Dr. Mawarni of CDC and SMARTER'S Representatives

Three delegates from the Ministry of Health of Japan visited SMARTER Brunei today in the Sengkurong Centre. The visit was organized by the Child Development Centre (CDC) headed by Dr. Mawarni. The delegates were received by the President' Wife, Nipah bte Hj Moktal, in behalf of our President, Malai Hj Abdullah bin Malai Hj Othman. A short briefing about SMARTER and its programme was presented by T. Arlene D. Arce, our Head Therapist. The delegates gave their full attention and were taking down notes on the different areas pointed during the briefing.

 Afterwards, they were toured around the centre and were amazed on the SMARTER programme that is implemented. One of the delegates stated, "I am very impressed on how organized the SMARTER'S programme is and the achievements that it has accomplished”.

Before leaving, they presented a token to our President's Wife and were very thankful on the knowledge that they acquired about SMARTER during the visit.

For the month of January 2010 the Brunei Autism Centre for Adults (B.A.C.A.) of SMARTER Brunei organized a Community Adaptation programme of “Boat Trip at Kampong Ayer”.
